To get to the center, you need to go along Chuysky trakt, the dream road. It's one of the most beautiful roads on our planet. You will see breath-taking scenery along the way. Even those people who have visited Altay before cannot help admiring this road. It's a milestone of your journey.

From the airport of Gorno-Altaysk:

You can order transfer to Kuray village from Novosibirsk, Barnaul, and Gorno-Altaysk. During the transfer you will make several stops to enjoy beautiful views and eat lunch. If you wish, you can have unplanned stops.

After arriving in Kuray village, you will get into the rover (UAZ or GAZ66, ZIL 131) and you will have 23 kilometers of steppe road ahead of you until you reach the mountain pass. And then you need to go along 8 km of difficult but not dangerous mountainous road. And finally you will arrive in one of the most beautiful area of Altay Mountains.

If you travel by car:

Along the Chuisky trakt to Kuray village (GPS coordinates: 50.235574, 87.926118). We recommend leaving your car on the guarded parking lot in Kuray village and getting a special transfer to Altay-Aktru. You can order transfer in our center. Parking on the mountain pass costs 200 RUR.

If you drive a lifted framed SUV with 33 MT tires, you can try to get on your own to Altay-Aktru. The road is difficult and requires skills to drive off-road. Call if you get into trouble.
